La Patisserie North
Tiffany and I checked out the North location, which is where the La Patisserie kitchen is housed. We got to meet the lovely owner, Soraiya, whom we quickly discovered is a super here woman mom boss. She originally started La Patisserie as a passion project, baking cookies and selling to local grocery stores, until she eventually turned her passion into a reality and opened up a shop.
After sharing her love of baking and french pastries with us, Soraiya gave us a tour of the kitchen and showed us where all the magic takes place. Walking into the kitchen smelled like I was walking into heaven, seriously! All the sugary and floury goodness!
This whole experience was exactly what I’d imagine a trip to France like!
The Best Part
I’d say my favorite thing about La Patisserie is the uhhhhhh-mazing pastries. Guys, I’m a donut FANATIC and this Chocolate Eclair Donut was to die for. I wanted more, but I had to save room for the Macarons.
The Macarons were equally as mind-blowing. Even though I’m a Donut obsessor, I can appreciate a good Macaron! I had heard from multiple people that these macarons were the best in town, and once I tasted them, I’ll have to agree. The flavor, the texture, and the perfect amount of sweetness just makes it!
Tiffany and I also tasted the double shot of espresso and a vanilla latte from the lovely barista, Kat. Both drinks were great, and the boldness of the double shot of espresso balanced all the sweets we consumed.
I’ve never been to Paris, but I imagine it feels something like this. Tiffany and I had a lovely experience here, and were especially honored to meet and chat with Soraiya and hear all about her love of good quality pastries.
Want to meet Soraiya? Check out our video where we got to chat with her!
Also, stay tuned for a future collaboration with La Patisserie… To be announced soon!
