Goodbye, Life of the Free.

Don’t worry, I’m not really leaving. I’m re-branding!

I’m so excited to finally share my updated blog with you guys! As you may know, I’ve carried the “Life of the Free” title since my Tumblr days, AKA my emotionally unstable teen days LOL. Although I do still resonate with the meaning behind “Life of the Free” based on John 8:32 and 1 Peter 2:16, I decided it was time for me to step out and rename my blog.

Picking a name can be challenging, but after much consideration, I decided to just go with my name, since after all, you can’t really get more authentic than that!

Choosing “Sierra Camelia”

I believe names have significance when it comes to people and their identities. As for me,  my mom always calls me her “mountain flower” child… Sierra, after the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and Camelia, after the Camellia flower. I truly feel as I’ve grown, that name has in some way shaped me into the nature loving girl I am. I also feel like the “mountain” meaning of my name has significance, since I’ve always been somewhat of the shy quiet girl who felt overlooked a lot. I’ve been through highs and lows, but through it all I feel like God has strengthened me to be strong and unmovable, much like a mountain.

Yeah Yeah, I know.. Mountain Flower is definitely my alter-ego hippy name, but I really feel like that’s who I am at my core.. Not trying to be too cheesy here 😀

I’m just a girl who loves God, the world he created, and the people he put in it. The reason I’m blogging is to bring others along with me on this journey into sustainable and well living.

So this is not just for me, this is for y’all too. I love blogging, and my goal isn’t to become America’s Next Top Blogger (although that might be exhilarating), it’s simply to share and relate with YOU. If I can help only one person in my life by relating with them, then writing blogs for the rest of my life would be worth it. I use my voice in the hopes that you will have the courage to use yours. And ps. my FAVORITE thing is hearing from y’all, whether it be comments or DM’s, so don’t be shy!

A huge thank you to all of you who have been following me on this journey, and a special shoutout to the MVP’s who have supported me from the beginning 😉 You know who you are!

Love Y’all!!

I’ll see you over at sierracamelia.com!

I’ll have this domain for a while so you can still have access to older blog posts, but if you want to stay up to date with new ones, make sure to subscribe to my new and improved blog!
